Last updated December 20, 2016

At CoastHills Credit Union, we value your privacy as much as our employees do in their own homes. That’s why our data security is designed to keep you as safe as possible. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to secure your personal information. This Online Privacy Policy covers the information we collect through www.coasthills.coopCoastHills Online Banking and the CoastHills mobile banking apps for Android and iOS.

Information We Collect
When you visit CoastHills.coop, there are plenty of web pages and applications that don’t require you to register. We also offer forms or applications as well as access to your accounts. While registering and/or filling those out, we may collect personal information such as your name, address, email address or other contact information. We may also log the type of device, browser or operating system you’re using, the IP address of your device and location information. We may share data with trusted third-parties to help us build a better relationship with you.

Cookies Policy
We use “cookies” to provide you with personalized service and for marketing purposes. A cookie is a tiny data file, and websites give them to your browser so they can be retrieved later as a way to recognize whether you have visited the site before. We do not use cookies to collect or store personally identifiable information. If you’d prefer not to use cookies, you may block them in your browser’s settings or preferences but certain site features may not function as intended.

Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a web analysis service provided by Google. It collects statistical information that helps us continually improve the design and functionality of our site, monitor responses to our advertising and content, and understand how members use our site. For more information about Google Analytics, please view Google’s Privacy Policy.

Google Adwords and Facebook Remarketing
CoastHills Credit Union’s website uses Google Adwords remarketing and Facebook Remarketing to deliver advertising on third-party websites to previous visitors of our site. You may see our advertisements in your Google search results, on YouTube or on a site in the Google Display Network as well as Facebook, Instagram or other third-party applications on your mobile device. Third-party sites use cookies to serve our ads to someone based on past visits to the CoastHills Credit Union website. Any data collected will be used in accordance with this, Google’s and Facebook’s privacy policies. You may opt out of Google’s or Facebook’s use of cookies by visiting Google’s and/or Facebook’s Ads Settings.

Third-Party Widgets and Disclosure
We allow certain widgets and buttons on our site that let you easily share information to another platform, usually social media accounts. These platforms may access your cookies and other information once you log in to their platforms. Another platform’s use of cookies and the information you provide is subject to their own privacy policies.

CoastHills will not sell your personally identifiable information, and does not share that information with third-parties except as required by law or detailed above. We do share information we collect with companies we contract for financial services to provide products and services to you.

Children’s Privacy
Generally, our site is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we request those individuals not provide personal information through the site. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 without parental consent. We may conduct contests through third-party sites that attract visitors who have children under the age of 13 and may feature those children in the contests that require the transmission of electronic media, such as photo or video submissions. But only parents or guardians over the age of 18 are allowed to enter on their child’s behalf, and no submission of a child’s personal information is required to enter.

The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA) restricts the collection, use or disclosure of personal information from and about children under the age of 13 on the internet. For more information about COPPA, visit the Federal Trade Commission website.
