1Criteria required each month to receive high dividend APY and to receive ATM refunds (ATM refunds only available on Super Checking accounts): receive a minimum of one direct deposit of at least $100 to the checking account, or complete a check or cash deposit of at least $500 each month, perform a minimum of 10 debit card transactions (ATM and BillPay transactions not included), sign up to receive eStatements only, and maintain a valid email address on file with CoastHills. Minimum balance to open is $50. There are no minimum daily balance requirements.
2APY= Annual Percentage Yield. Rate effective October 1, 2020. High dividend of 0.50% APY will be paid on qualifying balances up to and including $25,000. Base dividend of 0.10% APY will be paid on balances that do not qualify for high dividend, and for all qualifying balances over $25,000.
3APR= Annual Percentage Rate. 7.99% APR is our lowest rate. Your APR may vary depending upon your credit score. All applications are subject to credit approval. All rates are subject to change without notice.
4APR= Annual Percentage Rate. 1.99% intro APR for 6 months from the date of first transfer. Existing CoastHills Visa balances not eligible for balance transfer APR. After the intro APR expires, your APR will be 7.99% to 17.99%, based on your credit worthiness.

Membership in CoastHills Credit Union (CHCU) required. New members must pay a $5 membership fee, open a Basic Share account with a minimum balance of $5 and maintain a $5 minimum daily balance in the Basic Share account. To be eligible for membership in CoastHills a person must live, work, worship or attend school in Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Monterey or Santa Cruz County. Valid for new or existing members who open a new checking and/or Visa® credit card only. Limit two bonus payments per referred member if the referred member opens a new checking account and a new Visa® credit card. A referring member can receive a referral bonus of up to $1,000 for referring up to 20 qualifying checking accounts and/or Visa® credit cards. Membership account must be opened by November 28, 2021 to be eligible to refer. CHCU employees, volunteers, and their family members are not eligible for the bonus.

For referring and referred members to receive $50 bonus for checking referral, a $50 minimum balance is required to open a checking account and a direct deposit relationship is required. There are no minimum daily balance requirements. A direct deposit of at least $250 must be deposited within 90 days of opening. The direct deposit needs to be an electronic deposit of a paycheck, pension, or government benefits (such as Social Security) from an employer or the government. Person to Person payments are not considered a direct deposit. The variable Annual Percentage Yield (APY) on both checking accounts is 0.50% up to $25,000 and 0.10% above $25,000 as of November 29, 2021, and is subject to change. Fees may reduce earnings. All new accounts are subject to CHCU Truth-in-Savings, membership terms, conditions and disclosures. All new accounts will be verified by Chex Systems.

For referring and referred members to receive $50 bonus for Visa® credit card referral, credit card account must be active and in good standing with a minimum spend of at least $250 within 90 days of funding. Visa® credit cards are subject to credit approval.

Referring member must provide referrer a 6-digit code to present at account opening. Members with the same existing or closed CHCU checking account type or Visa® credit card type are not eligible. Subject to $50 early closure fee per account if checking and/or Visa® credit card is closed within 6 months. Must be 18 years or older to participate. Cash or non-cash gifts in excess of $10 are subject to IRS reporting on form 1099-INT.
