Credit card blocked? Text to instantly reactivate

With credit card fraud on the rise, financial institutions have to be ready at a moment's notice to take immediate action and protect your account when something seems suspicious.

Sometimes, that means blocking charges to your account when we suspect fraudulent activity. And unfortunately, you might only find out your card has been blocked in a very inconvenient scenario.

It might be waiting in line with a cart full of groceries or settling the bill at a nice restaurant. 

But now, security does not have to trump convenience when it comes to the CoastHills Platinum Rewards Visa credit card. 

Thanks to a new service, CoastHills Visa cardholders are receiving SMS text messages whenever a suspected fraudulent charge is blocked by Card Member Security. 

Say you are making a purchase at the mall, and your card is declined as a security measure. Within moments, you will receive a text message to your mobile phone asking if if the charge is authorized. 

Reply 'yes,' and you will be able to instantly ask the cashier to process your payment once more. If the payment is not authorized, reply 'no' confidently knowing CoastHills is keeping your account safe from fraud. 

If you don’t receive the text message, the automated system will then trigger a phone call to confirm the purchase. If the purchase is not recognized, the call will be transferred to an agent to confirm the fraudulent transactions. If you do not respond to the text message or phone call, an automatic email will be sent to verify the purchase.
