First-time Login to Business Online Banking

1. To gain access to Business Online Banking, your business must first be setup by CoastHills (you cannot self-register for Business Online Banking). An account holder must contact CoastHills to initiate the setup.
2. Once your business has been setup, the Primary Administrator, (and any Secondary Administrators, if applicable) will receive two emails with login credentials and a link to the Online Banking login page.
3. Go to the login page and log in with the username and  temporary password from the two emails
4. Validate your identity via a one-time passcode sent to the phone number on file.
5. You will be prompted to change your password (you will need the temporary password from the email again for this step)
6. It is highly recommended to change your username upon first login. Go to My Settings > Username.
7. Enjoy the benefits and ease of Business Online Banking!

Credential Emails

Below are samples of both emails sent to each new user (one with the username and one with the password). The emails are sent from memberservices@coasthills.coop and the subject for both is “You have been granted access to Online Banking”.

Login Screen

1. Click the link in the email to the CoastHills website (or access in a browser).
2. Copy the username from the email and paste into the Username field.
3. Copy the password from the other email and paste into the Password field (you will need the password again to setup a new password on the next step).

Multifactor Authentication

New users must authenticate their identity during the initial login

1. Click “Call Me”

2. Enter the 6 digit code you received over the phone. The code will expire after 10 minutes.
3. Register the device:
     • “Yes, register my private device”: If the user is on their personal computer, select this option to bypass the ID verification screen for future logins.
     • “No, this is a public device”: If the users is on a public computer, select this option, which will present this ID verification screen at the next login.
     • Clicking either button advances to the next screen.

Tips:
• When on the phone call, press # to repeat the code if needed.
• Select “Didn’t get the code?” link to initiate the phone call again.

Changing Password

Users are required to change their password upon initial login.

1. Copy the password again from the email into the Temporary Password field.
2. Create a new password in the New Password and Retype Password fields.
3. Select “Update Password” to access Business Online Banking.
4. Go to My Settings once logged in to change the username

Login Issues/Troubleshooting

Issue: The business user did not receive the emails with username and password.

Root Cause: Typically this happens when the email is incorrect.

Resolution:

1. Administrators should contact CoastHills to ensure the correct email is on file.
     a. Administrator should look in their junk/spam folders.
2. Other sub-users should contact an administrator at the business to update the sub-user profile in business online banking if needed (under Manage Users)


Note: CoastHills cannot assist sub-users who are not Administrators

Tip: Forgotten password can only be retrieved via phone (not email).

Issue: The one time passcode has bot been received by phone call or text message.

Root cause: The wrong phone number is on file or it was not a direct line (phone extensions are not supported).

Resolution:
1. Administrators should contact CoastHills to ensure the correct phone number is on file.
2. Other sub-users should contact an administrator at the business to update the sub-user profile in business online banking if needed (under Manage Users)
3. Once corrected, the user should return to the login screen to reinitiate the ID verification by phone call or text message.

Ongoing Logins

For future logins, if the computer is not recognized, the user is asked to validate their identity (options are based on each user’s individual setup).
