Getting Started with CoastHills Online Banking

Your guide to setting things up—quickly and confidently

Getting started with Online Banking should be simple - and with CoastHills, it is. Whether you're checking in on your balance or paying bills on the go, it all begins with a few easy steps.

Step 1: Start with your basic info
It all begins at the top of our website. Click on the “Register” link from the Login dropdown.

You’ll need your member number and a special PIN to get started. Your PIN is made up of 1234 followed by the last four digits of the primary account holder’s Social Security Number.

Once you enter that info, you’ll move on to setting up your login.

Step 2: Create your login credentials
Now it’s time to choose your username and password - think of these as your keys to Online Banking.

  • Your username can be up to 60 characters long.
  • Your password should be 8 - 32 characters and include at least one number, one letter and one special character.

You’ll also enter a few pieces of personal information so we can keep your account secure.

Step 3: Set up Bill Pay (optional but helpful!)
Want to make managing bills even easier? Bill Pay lets you view and pay bills online, whether it’s a one-time payment or something recurring like rent or a loan.

To enroll, simply check the two boxes above the sign-up button. You can always set this up later, too - but it’s a great time-saver.

Step 4: Wrap up your registration
Once you’ve finished the steps above, you’ll see a success message.
Just click “Confirm contact information” to move forward.

Step 5: Confirm your contact details
To help protect your account, we use multi-factor authentication (MFA). We’ll automatically pull up to two phone numbers from your member file. These numbers help us verify your identity on new devices or when using the Forgotten Password tool. Make sure the numbers are correct and update them if needed.

Want to use an authenticator app instead? You can turn that option on by selecting “By authenticator.” Just download and register with either the Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Step 6: Enter your code and choose your device settings
We’ll send you a 6-digit verification code that expires in 10 minutes.

  • If you’re on your personal device, click “Yes, this is a private computer” to save it for future logins.
  • If you’re using a public computer, choose “No” instead.

App users will receive a text or call with the code. Once verified, you won’t need to do this again - unless the app is uninstalled or your device’s data/cache is cleared.

If you’re unable to access your phone or email, don’t worry - we’re here for you. Call us at (805) 733-7600 and we’ll verify your identity and provide a secure code. When prompted during login, click the “I can't access one of these options” link to enter the code manually.

Your questions answered


Your PIN number is 1234 and the last four digits of the primary account holder's Social Security Number.

A CoastHills Member Services Officer at any of our 12 Central Coast locations can assist you with a wire transfer. To get started, you'll need the following information:

About you and the transaction - 
Your name and 13-digit account number

About the receiving bank - 
Financial institution name, address and routing number.

You can easily sign up for eStatements from both Online and Mobile Banking. 

After logging in, select Additional Services then eStatements. From there, you'll click Enrollment at the top of the page, select Electronic then Submit. Review the eSign Agreement then select I Agree at the bottom of the page. 

We are not currently offering Zelle through our Online or Mobile Banking platform.
