Make things go smoothly the first time within Online Banking.
This is your guide only if you're registering for CoastHills Online Banking for the first time. If you've already registered, you can log in using your Online Banking username and temporary password (1234) plus the last four digits of the primary accountholder's Social Security number.
Step 1: Enter your initial credentials
After clicking on the Register link from our home page, click "Sign Up" to begin. You'll be prompted for your member number and PIN. Your PIN is 1234 and the last four digits of the primary accountholder's Social Security number.
Step 2: Create your username and password
You'll be prompted to create your username (up to 60 characters) and password (8-32 characters, and requiring at least one of the following: number, letter, special character).
The brief personal information section must be completed.
Step 3: Enroll in Bill Pay
Bill Pay gives you more control over your finances by allowing you to receive, view and pay bills in a secure online portal. Schedule one-time or recurring payments to make sure you're always on time. Enroll by clicking both boxes above the sign-up button.
Step 4: Complete sign-up
Once you complete the registration process, you'll see a success message. Please click the “Confirm contact information” button.
Step 5: Verify your contact details
When registration is successful, up to two phone numbers will be retrieved from your member file and will be listed as your multi-factor authentication numbers.
These numbers will then be used for authenticating any future unrecognized devices, using the Forgotten Password tool in the future, or authenticating via our Mobile App. It's important to confirm that the number(s) are correct.
The email address you entered during registration will also be available as an authentication option.
You may edit your contact info on this screen during this initial login. For future changes, you will have to access your settings after fully logging in.
Step 6: Enter your verification code and save device
You'll then be sent a code, which will expire after 10 minutes and consist of 6 random digits.
If you're using your personal computer, consider registering it (by clicking "Yes, this is a private computer") so you don't see the challenge screen each login. If you're on a public computer, choose “No, this is a public computer.” Either button takes you to Online Banking.
When selecting ‘yes’, a device identifier is left in several places within the user's browser. If cookies are deleted, the presence of the identifiers in other places could still allow the computer to be identified.
If you're using our app, you'll receive a phone call or text, which will require you to respond directly (i.e., pressing 1 when prompted on the call). Then you'll be taken directly into the app and won't need to go through verification again, unless the app is uninstalled or has its data/cache deleted.
Can't access any of your contact options?
If you don't have access to either of your phones or email, please call us at (805) 733-7600 to confirm your identity and receive a manual code generated by your member services officer.
To use the code we provide, click on the first link under “Questions?” Then click the “I can’t access one of these options” link to get to the screen where you can enter the code we generated.

You can easily sign up for eStatements from both Online and Mobile Banking.
After logging in, select Additional Services then eStatements. From there, you'll click Enrollment at the top of the page, select Electronic then Submit. Review the eSign Agreement then select I Agree at the bottom of the page.
While we are currently not offering Zelle or any other P2P payment solution through our Online and Mobile Banking platform, you can easily download any P2P payment app separately and link your CoastHills account to start sending and receiving money through your phone.
