Setting Up Member-To-Member Transfers

Transfer Money Quickly to Another CoastHills Member

With Member-to-Member transfers, you can easily send money to your children, relatives, friends and any othe CoastHills members. Here's how to get started:

Step 1: Access Transfers

  • Click on Transfer & Pay then select Member to Member Transfers from the dropdown menu.

Step 2: Add a New Recipient

  • Select which of your accounts you want to send money from using the From dropdown.
  • Click or tap the To dropdown and choose Add a recipient. You'll need specific information about the other member's account to complete the transfer.

Step 3: Enter Recipient Information

You'll need to provide four pieces of information to add a new recipient:

  1. First 3 Characters of Last Name: Use the first three letters of the primary account holder's last name (not a joint account holder).
  2. Account Type: Choose the type of account you're sending money to:
    1. For checking, select Share Draft.
    2. For savings, select Regular Share.
  3. Share Number: This number identifies the recipient's account. You can find your own share numbers in the My Accounts section of Online Banking. For savings accounts, it usually starts with 00; for checking accounts, it's typically 80, but it can vary.
  4. Account Number: This is the unique number for the member's account. No need to add zeros before the number.

Click Verify Recipient to submit the information. The system will show the recipient's account name. If you're setting up transfers for different accounts of the same member, change the name to avoid confusino (e.g., change "John Smith" to "John Smith's Checking").

Step 4: Complete the Transfer

Once verified, the recipient will appear in the To dropdown on the Move Money or Transfers page. Go back to that page by follwing the instructions from Step 1.

Step 5: Send the Money

Click or tap the To dropdown, select the recipient's name, choose a date, and enter the amount you want to transfer. You can now send money just like you would between your own accounts.

To add more recipients, just repeat these steps.
