An extra layer of security to ensure the safety of your accounts.
The first time you log in to CoastHills Online or Mobile Banking from a new device, you will receive a prompt asking to verify your identity one of three ways – text, call or authenticator app. Use this guide if you would like to edit your preferences and/or enable the authenticator app.
On your desktop -

If you’d like to enable the authenticator app, click the button next to By authenticator to turn it on. You will need to download and register with either the Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator app (your preference) from the Apple App Store or Google Play before you can proceed.

Step 6: Connect your authenticator app
Open your authenticator app of choice and create an account, if you don’t already have one.
Microsoft Authenticator -
Once you’ve created an account, or are signed in, click the + sign in the top right corner. You’ll be prompted to choose what type of account you’re adding, personal, work or other. To add Online Banking, select ‘Other.’ Once you make your selection, you’ll immediately be taken to the QR code scanner screen where you can either scan the code provided or choose to enter your code manually.
Scanning the QR Code: If you choose to scan the QR code, you simply allow access to your phone’s camera then point it at the QR code generated for you in Online Banking.
Entering Setup Key: If you choose to enter the 32-digit code provided to you in Online Banking, you’ll click the blue button that says ‘Or enter code manually.’ You’ll create an account name, then enter the 32-digit code and click enter.
Once you complete either option, you’ll see your CoastHills Credit Union account with generated code added to your dashboard.

Using MFA:
When you log into Online Banking for the first time on a new device, you will be prompted to use a multi-factor authentication. You can choose from the following options:
Text – will send a code to your registered mobile device.
Call – will call the phone number you have registered with MFA.
Authenticator – you will need to open the authenticator app on your mobile device to retrieve your code.
Once you have a code through one of the options above, you’ll enter it into the prompt within Online Banking.
Before continuing on, if you’re accessing your account on your personal device, we recommend you select the button that reads, “Yes, register my private device.” This will save you time in the future and you’ll only have to complete this step again if you access your account from another device that isn’t already registered.
